Rotary Club of Longford president John McGrath said it was too late for the group to organise another event.

``Issues in relation to public liability insurance arose and we can't expose the public to problems in that relation,'' he said.

Mr McGrath said letters to Santa's Mailbox would still be answered.

The Longford Rotary Club has informed Council that the Christmas Parade has been cancelled. They are informing as many people as they can, if you know someone who said they were going please let them know.
