The service has taken calls from concerned relatives and friends over the past week, helping to reunite them with fire-affected people.
From 6pm tonight (Saturday), any inquiries made to the service will be directed by a recorded message to contact Tasmania Police.
Anyone who wishes to report concerns for welfare in relation to the fires should contact Tasmania Police on 6230 2374 between 8am and 6pm. Callers outside those times should phone 6230 2111.
