Shane Anthony Brown, 33, received a four-month suspended prison term, to be activated if he commits an offence in the next two years, in the Launceston Magistrates Court earlier today.
Brown was found guilty earlier this month in the matter which led to the death of Launceston woman Kathleen McEwan, 59, through negligent driving.
He was also fined in $300 for failing to have his child properly restrained in the truck at the time the incident occurred.
