He quietly goes about his business and has kept time for about 1300 games during his 30 years at the Northern Tasmanian Football Association outfit.
Quigley, who is retiring from his post due to health reasons, will time keep for the final time when the Saints take on Meander Valley in the reserves and seniors at home on Saturday.
The 87-year-old said the opportunity to regularly watch games and be part of a family-friendly club had kept him coming back year after year.
He was drawn to the club by his son Ashley who played more than 200 games and is a life member.
Quigley has had to ride the bumps of the role, including when the power cuts out.
"The power goes off and the siren goes off too," he said.
"We have had to rush out and get the umpires to stop the game.
"No power meant no siren.
"It's happened a few times."
Quigley said he started timekeeping with Kings Meadows Football Club in 1953 and kept up the role when he was later helping with the junior district league and at City South (now South Launceston).
We had to rush out and get the umpires to stop the game.

The Kings Meadows resident has found timekeeping a great way to engage with the sport and encouraged others to volunteer.
The stalwart has been on the St Pats committee for 19 years and was inducted into the club's Hall of Fame last year.
He was awarded club life membership in 2006 and made an NTFA legend in 2011.
On top of that, he ran the club's tipping competition for 15 years.
St Pats are the NTFA division one ladder leader with two wins while the Suns are chasing their first victory of the season.
The Saints defeated Evandale by 51 points in their opening game and then UTAS Lions by 180 points in their second encounter.
In other matches, fifth-ranked OId Scotch will battle fourth-placed Perth at the NTCA ground while East Coast takes on UTAS at St Helens Recreation Reserve.
Old Launcestonians and Evandale will meet at Invermay Park and reigning premier Lilydale has the bye.
OLs and the Eagles are both keen to register their first triumph of 2022.
