The refurbishment means the Launceston Police Customer Service Centre will be temporarily relocated to Newnham Police Station, which is located on George Town Road at Newnham.
A police spokesperson said all public enquiries could be directed to the Customer Service Officers at Newnham Police Station, who would ensure that there would be no reduction in service delivery to the Launceston community.
Police can be contacted on 131 444 for non-urgent matters, and Triple Zero (000) in an emergency.
The Launceston Police Headquarters Renovation Project was announced in 2020 to help Tasmania recover from COVID-19 via a $3.1 billion state government reconstruction plan.
