The playing-coach has shifted out of the midfield this season to make way for some of the club's younger brigade to get midfield minutes but that hasn't limited his impact on-field.

The reigning Alastair Lynch medalist has added a goal in each of the Bombers' wins so far and spent time in the midfield in the dying stages of his side's two-point win over Lauderdale.

Bombers co-captain Ben Simpson praised his coach's ability to deliver on-field performance while also masterminding their tactics.
"You can definitely see when the game is on the line, he pulls rank quite well at times and brings himself up the ground," he said.
"He knows how to win games, he's been here long enough for that.
"I think when he steps in and takes control it's good for everyone."
