A man has been transferred to the Royal Hobart Hospital by helicopter after suffering burns and smoke inhalation.

Tasmania Police were called to Frederick Street, Launceston about 8pm last night following reports that a man was on fire.
Police investigations have determined the incident was accidental, and there are no suspicious circumstances.
The man remains in the burns unit of Royal Hobart Hospital in a critical condition.
