Reconciliation Tasmania project officer Marnie Ritz said the event gave students the opportunity to express their thoughts about reconciliation to elected representatives.
This included members of parliament, including Premier Peter Gutwein, Labor leader Rebecca White and Greens leader Cassie O'Connor, and also Tasmanian Governor Barbara Baker.
"The students are going to be the next generation of people to help the healing process amongst the Aboriginal community and I can't wait until some of them grow up to be in the position of the Premier and the Governor, and to actually make really radical changes," Ms Ritz said.
"The students viewpoints seem to be so much more advanced and progressive ... in-depth thoughts of what it means to reconcile the plight of Aboriginal people."
