President Nelson Tabe said the event allowed students to gain confidence.
"Singfest gives them an identity and makes them feel special. It helps them create friendships and network between different schools," he said.
East Launceston Primary School grade 6 student Piers Nicholls will be the overall soloist for Singfest.
"I just always enjoyed singing. It always made me feel good and I felt I was quite good at it, so I joined choir and that helped me control my voice," he said.
Piers practiced singing on the bus to and from school when he was younger, and now enjoys singing with his school choir.
The budding singer's dream is to sing on live television or on The Voice one day.
Singfest runs across September 22 and 23. Tickets are $10 and available from trybooking.com.
