Both Sonny Whiting and Tom Chugg kicked five, the latter in Jay Schulz's absence, but it was the Demons who emerged victorious, securing consecutive premierships.
Lilydale opened the scoring through their perennial goalkicker Whiting, getting on the end of a ball from skipper Corey Lockett early doors.
It would be opposing captain Campbell Fraser who set up OLs' first strike, bombing long to a big pack mark from last week's hero Tom Chugg to get the Blues an early point lead.
But Whiting answered right back, sending through a boundary-line dribbler right in front of the Launceston Football Club bar.
Whiting was the target of another inside 50 minutes later but Trent Griggs was able to mop up the scraps and send it through across his body, producing the first double-figure lead of the match 12 minutes in.

This wouldn't last for too long however as the Blues nailed back-to-back goals through Chugg and diminutive forward Alex Downie to take a two-point lead into quarter time.
A 50-metre penalty to Billy Tuckerman put the Demons back in front four minutes into the second but Fraser and Joey Cullen did the same for the Blues.
OLs produced several more chances before the main break but were unable to be truly damaging on the scoreboard as Lilydale went up the other end and made them pay through Matthew McKinnon.
Lilydale came out after half-time trailing, a position they've rarely been at the main break this year, as the two sides traded behinds to open the term.
It would be Zach Cooke who broke the trail of behinds 10 minutes into the term, putting the Demons in front by a point before Whiting's third for the day extended it.
McKinnon almost produced a highlight-reel stunner to break another Lilydale string of behinds and out-on-the-fulls but it wasn't to be, shaking off several opponents before snapping around the body for a point.
Instead, the Blues went to the other end and scored through Jake Goodyer, keeping the game in the balance and going against the momentum.
Holding a three-point lead going into the last term, the Demons extended it early as Cooke got on the end of a Griggs shank to find the middle.
They threatened to run away with it from there as Whiting kicked his fourth and Chugg and Griggs traded goals at either end.
Griggs was powerful up forward in the last despite struggling with accuracy, giving the Demons a 22-point lead with 15 minutes gone.
Chugg kicked his fourth to minimise that lead but Whiting's fifth sealed the deal despite Chugg matching his feat later in the game.
