Two men have been charged with aggravated armed robbery after an alleged incident involving a woman staying at a Launceston hotel on August 21.

The woman was allegedly confronted by two men who police say demanded money, before a struggle occurred and money was stolen.

Police allege one of the men was in possession of a firearm at the time of the incident.
A 31-year-old man from Summerhill and a 32-year-old man from Mayfield have since been charged over the incident and were expected to appear in court at a later date.
