Hawthorn hits UTAS Stadium for its fourth AFL clash of the season, taking on Fremantle at 1.45pm Saturday. The Dockers will be out to fix their horrid Launceston record. Children 14 years and under are able to attend the game for free, but tickets must be purchased. No ticket sales will be held at the door. The Examiner held a competition earlier in the week for family passes to the game.

2. Harvest Market
July 10, 8.30am-12.30pm
Every Saturday the tasty Harvest Market takes over the Cimitiere Street parking area to share fresh food and produce. Discover a wide range of vendors and local brands to support. This week's festival will see the team from Plastic Free Launceston promoting Plastic Free July. For the football fans, Hawka will be at Harvest in the morning, sharing the AFL love before the match kicks off at 1.45pm.
3. WinterFire Festival

The stage has been set and the bonfire built for this weekend's Deloraine WinterFire Festival, back better than ever after being cancelled last year. Held at the Deloraine Showground by Arts Deloraine on Saturday July 10, the beloved community event offers six hours of family friendly activities to celebrate the arrival of winter. Gates open at 4pm with food, fire, mulled wine and festivities.
4. Drag Night
July 11, tickets available from humantix
The first event by FamiliQ, a Launceston LGBTQI+ community group, is here. Join the group for dinner, drinks, and a drag show at Bakers Lane. The event starts at 6pm and runs through until 9pm.
5. Psychic Expo
July 9-11, 9am-5pm
The Launceston Psychic Expo will be held over the weekend at Best Western Plus. Readings are $65 for about 25-30 minutes. A gold coin donation is required to enter. No refunds will be given after 10 minutes. There will be about 12 psychics in attendance. The event recommends recording the reading.
6. Stelo's Oscura
Sunday's from May-August, free to enter but tickets required
A secret Sunday night speakeasy will pop up in Launceston from May until August. A map will lead to a dimly-lit doorway for entry. Prohibition inspired cocktails, limited release Tasmanian wines, local brews and Stelo snacks will be on offer. Visit eventbrite to get tickets.
7. Singing Festival
June 30 - July 11
The annual singing festival is back to not only raise voices, but brighten winter. Though it is based in Hobart, the event is beloved state wide.
