Set to develop the state's long-term football future, the project's process will take place alongside Colin Carter's review into a Tasmanian AFL licence and is supported by ColganBauer, a Victorian consultancy firm.
The town-hall-style meetings will take place at Bellerive Oval, Dial Park and UTAS Stadium at 6.30-8.30pm on July 26, 28 and 30 respectively, while the survey can be completed online through AFL Tasmania's website.
Head of AFL Tasmania Damian Gill described the process as "important".
"Across the state, there are 13 leagues, 129 clubs and 58 Auskick centres - football reaches further into the Tasmanian community than any other sport," he said.
"It is everyone's game, and every Tasmanian who cares about Australian football has a role to play in shaping its future.
"That's why it's important for everyone who wants to have a voice in this process to take the opportunity to participate, so views and sentiment from right across the game can be captured.
"Football has been a huge part of Tasmania for generations, and we want it to be just as big, if not bigger, for future generations."
The survey takes around 10 minutes and must be submitted by 5pm on July 20.
Online versions of the meetings will be held the following week for those unable to attend, while written submissions can be sent to tasproject@afl.com.au.
