A pair of last-quarter goals to Cody Weedon confirmed the win for the Tigers, who had put a stranglehold on the game in the third term after plenty of lead changes.
Josh Ponting, who was comfortably best on ground for the victors, opened the game's scoring early as majors became hard to come by before Josh Holton and Bart McCulloch found the big sticks.
Those two would be focal points for their sides up forward, both scoring four goals as Rocherlea leapfrogged bye-side Scottsdale to enter the top five, shaping for an intriguing finals race in the next seven weeks.

Alongside Ponting and Weedon, Brayden Claridge was superb at both ends for Rocherlea as Bulldogs skipper Luke McCarty and Jordan Tepper led from the front.
Deloraine produced an emotional victory, defeating Hillwood 15.18 (108) to 7.2 (44) as the community remembered the contribution of Terry Roles, who lost his battle with motor neurone disease this week.
The Kangaroos trailed the young Sharks by two at quarter-time and only led by nine at the main break despite having nine more scoring shots.

Originally scheduled for George Town, the game was moved to Longford on Friday, and Murfitt-Cowen thrived on his home deck - kicking his 68th goal and extending his lead over Holton (32).

Bracknell got back on the winners' list after its last-minute loss with a 17.8 (110) to 5.10 (40) win over Bridgenorth.
The Redlegs piled on goals in the first three quarters as Bridgenorth showed its resilience in the final term to win the quarter.
Sam Douglas made his presence felt, kicking six goals while being supported by Corry Goodluck and Rocky Barron (three apiece).
