Emergency services are treating an Edith Creek housefire as 'suspicious', following an investigation on Friday morning.
The blaze started on Thursday night at a house on Trowutta Road.
When fire crews arrived they found the house fully alight.
The TFS were able to extinguish the fire but the house was destroyed.
No one was in the house at the time, and fire services believe the house may have been abandoned.
Fire Scene Investigators are currently undertaking a detailed examination of the scene, alongside Tasmania Police Forensic Services and members of the Burnie Criminal Investigation Branch.
Police are asking anyone who may have information about the fire to come forward.
