The three-year partnership between Hydro Tasmania and the Beacon Foundation will provide training in foundational career skills and mentorship opportunities, while specifically targeting regional and disadvantaged youth.
Hydro Tasmania education advisor Gina Harvey said she was blown away by the power of the Beacon Foundation's programs.

"It's on us to really ensure we prepare Tasmanains for what the future looks like," she said.
"This partnership means we can make it easier for young Tasmanians to access the people who are currently in those careers, and to share those career journeys."
Ms Harvey said the program would specifically focus on the state's young people in the north-west, north, Midlands, and Bass Straight Islands, who experience a higher level of disadvantage entering the job market.
Beacon Foundation chief operating officer Kath McCann said it was important to invest in young people and their opportunities for career development.
"You cannot be what you cannot see, so having Hydro Tasmania's people ... to speak to and inspire these young people is an invaluable opportunity," she said.
"Hydro and Beacon will work together, particularly in the regional areas of Tasmania, to deliver programs and services that really expose young people to the renewable energy sector, and hopefully help them build and develop their career readiness skills."
Ms McCann said Hydro Tasmania was an iconic Tasmanian brand, and had been a long-standing partner of the foundation.
"[Hydro] has been a significant part of Tasmania's past, present, and undeniably, part of our future," she said.
On Wednesday, students from several Tasmanian schools were taken on a tour of Hydro Tasmania as part of the program.
More workshops and opportunities such as the tour will be offered as part of the three-year deal.
