Police are investigating a deliberately lit fire in Invermay which destroyed a unit early Thursday morning.

Fire investigators attended and examined the scene and determined that the fire was deliberately lit. They estimate the damage to the unit was $200,000.
According to a release from the TFS, the crews reported that the unit was heavily impacted by fire and smoke was coming from the roof when they arrived.
The unit was not occupied at the time of the fire.

The house is currently being treated as a crime scene by police.
The Tasmanian Fire Service are also attending another call out in Rossarden which has multiple crews at the scene.
Crews from Rossarden, Avoca and Fingal are currently attending a structure fire at Coronation Avenue, Rossarden. On arrival the crews reported that the house was fully involved
