South Launceston man charged for alleged Invermay attack

A South Launceston man has been charged following an alleged attack at a unit complex in Invermay last month.
The Tasmania Police spokesperson said the 18-year-old man was charged on Wednesday with aggravated assault and firearm offences relating to the incident on March 30.
The Examiner previously reported that the victim - described as a middle-aged man - was taken to the Launceston General Hospital after suffering a large laceration to the back of his head. But, at the time, police said the victim's condition was not considered serious.
The man charged over the offence will appear before the Launceston Magistrates Court later today.
