Emergency services are responding to a serious crash on the West Tamar Highway this afternoon.
A Tasmania Police spokesperson said the highway is expected to be closed for some time following the crash, which involved a motorcycle and car at Exeter.
Traffic is being diverted at Motor Road for southern bound traffic and at Winkleigh Road for northern bound traffic.

The spokesperson said that the exact injuries of those involved in the incident are unknown at this stage.
Motorists have been asked to avoid the area until further notice.
