The Launceston community has continued to rally around a worker who received burns to 50 per cent of his body after a tragic workplace accident at a Perth distillery.
Greg Longmore was working at Adams Distillery when a fire broke out on February 9.
A Go Fund Me set up to support Mr Longmore, his wife and two children has raised about $99,000 since being set up after the fire.
The group managed to raise $4000 for the family at a Golf Day on Sunday with the support of Riverside Golf Club.
Riverside Lions Club treasurer Robin Phillips said raising money for people in need was what the club did.
"Representatives of the Lions Club met at the golf club this morning and handed over the cheque to the owners of the Adams Distillery, Adam Saunders and Adam Pinkard. They commented that the donation will be much appreciated by Greg and his family," he said.
"They also advised that he is recovering remarkably well and was able to get out of bed and roam the wards just yesterday after being in an induced coma for several weeks."
