Launceston will still get its share of AFL preseason action after the league released a revised AAMI Community Series schedule on Sunday.

State-contracted teams Hawthorn and North Melbourne will face-off at UTAS Stadium on March 6 at 1.10pm.
The usual two-round series will now see teams play just one game apiece across the first weekend of March.
AFL executive general manager of clubs and broadcasting Travis Auld said the revisions to the series schedule were made in conjunction with clubs to safeguard the competition and reduce travel prior to the home-and-away season.

He thanked regional areas such as Hobart, Albury, Coffs Harbour, Mandurah and Whyalla for their understanding as they lose Community Series matches due to the shake-up.
"Each of those regions play an extremely important role in our game and the decision to revise the AAMI Community Series was made to protect the health and safety of the competition and the wider community which remains a priority for the league," he said.
"While we share the dissappointment of these regions, we also look forward to more fans being able to safely attend ... Community Series matches, particularly in states where supporters have not been able to attend a men's game in over a year."

A state government spokesperson said they welcomed the fixture.
"This provides the opportunity for Tasmanian football fans to see both teams currently supported to play AFL games in Tasmanian in action," they said.
Both the Hawks and Kangaroos have entered their final year of their Tasmanian game contracts with teams slated to play four home-and-away games each at UTAS and Bellerive Oval.
Hawks president Jeff Kennett said on Friday that there had been "no advancements" on arrangement talks with Tasmania.
