Style and originality will once again take centre stage when Fashions on the Field returns to Launceston Cup in February.
While traditionally held on Launceston Cup day, this year aspiring fashionistas will put their best foot forward on Sunday, February 21 as part of a separate COVID-safe event.
Modelling agency owner and organiser Sue Rees said the event would take on a completely new look and be held in the marquee at the Ladbrokes Racing Centre, in conjunction with the annual Fashions for Fillies.

"This is the first time due to COVID-19 restrictions the Fashions on the Field and the Fashions for Fillies will be held on Sunday, February 21, both happening in the marquee under the palms," she said.
"This will be a great fun day of dining, fashion and racing.
"An added bonus for those dining at Fashions for Fillies [is] they will have the privilege of watching the Fashions on the Field entrants parading in front of the judges in the marquee."
This year's Launceston Cup will be run on Wednesday, February 24.
However, to ensure social distancing measures, Ms Rees said the decision had been made to host Fashions on the Field before the main event.

As usual, the fashion event will incorporate categories for men's and women's racewear, with entrants to be judged on style, appropriateness, attention to detail, interpretation of fashion trends, grooming and deportment.
To enter email your name, address and phone number to sueandpeter1@bigpond.com. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, no entries will be taken on the day.
Bookings are also open for the luncheon, for $75 per person. This includes gate entry, reserved seating, bar service, tote facilities, lunch and welcome bubbles on arrival.
No door sales will be available - call 63 261 070 or email admin@turfclubtas.com for bookings.
