This weekend opens its arms and welcomes one of the biggest events we have had in Northern Tasmania since COVID-19 put the world into lockdown, Junction's Hometown festival.
The festival is hugely significant as it shows how far we have come since the disappointing and terrible cancellation of many beloved annual events in our calendars. The steps taken to reintroduce some life and fun back into the community has been great, and I can't wait to see restrictions ease further to allow dancing again, and more capacity at theatres and other venues.
This week's newsletter is dedicated to our previous coverage on Junction and its Hometown announcements. There will also be a spread in Friday's paper highlighting this information and the schedule for Friday and Saturday (Session One).
The newsletter also includes the community diary so please feel free to submit any events the community should know about through the link.
If you want to get in touch with me in regards to an arts/what's on story please send an email to dana.anderson@examiner.com.au or call 0419 813 457.
If you have tickets to Junction, have an amazing time and I may even see you there,
Dana
