Surrey 21-year-old Will Jacks will make his Big Bash League debut for the Hurricanes with the side confirming his signing on Thursday after weeks of being linked to the batsman.
A 25-ball century shot Jacks into the limelight during a T10 tournament in Dubai in 2019 following a breakout season the year before, where he made his debut in all three formats at just 19 years of age.

The young star has added off-spin bowling to his resume of late, grabbing 13 wickets in 13 T20 matches this season, while amassing more runs than any Surrey player (557) in domestic competition.
Re-joining former Surrey head coach Michael Di Venuto in purple, Jacks is "incredibly excited" for the upcoming season.
"I've heard from other English players how good the Big Bash is and I'm looking forward to the opportunity," he said.
"We managed to reach the final of the T20 Blast at home this summer, so I'm looking forward to hopefully going one step further with Hobart."
Joining countryman Dawid Malan and South African Colin Ingram as international recruits, Jacks will be available for the entirety of the tournament.
With the recruit set to arrive in Hobart before the tournament's opening clash, coach Adam Griffith is over the moon with the new signing.
"Will is an exciting young player who is coming off a very successful T20 Blast in the UK.
"He gives us great flexibility in our batting group, as he can open the batting, or finish the innings batting in the middle order.
"His off-spin bowling also adds another dimension to his game."
