Not even his fifth birthday stopped one of Tasmania Police's busiest (and cutest) officers, PD Fang, from protecting the state against crime.

The beloved drug detector dog turned five on Friday.

"PD Fang works with us all over the state, at places like Australia Post, airports, and in public places sniffing out drugs," Constable Storay said.
"He's a good community relations advisor, he comes along with us to school visits, everyone associates with and loves the dog, so we go to lots of things together.
