To conduct this kind of disturbing activity in the middle of the eagles' nesting season is against all regulations.
Surely the government can find a more suitable site for a prison than an area beloved by locals and containing 32 species of native birds, nine of which are found only in Tasmania, three listed as endangered.

With birds in decline all over the state because of land clearing, development, and broad-scale chemical use in plantations, it's time for the state government to rethink its decision to build a prison on the most diverse site available and find somewhere else that has no natural values.
The proposed clearing of this site is just another nail in the coffin for Tasmania's unique natural heritage.

Gladys Berejiklian
Of course, the Premier should not resign unless it can be proved without a doubt she was aware of Daryl McGuire's corrupt dealings.
Through NSW's most testing times, Ms Berejiklian has shown leadership with skill and compassion. Why would this proven corrupt politician Daryl McGuire share with Ms Berejiklian his dodgy dealings, it would be something he would want to hide from everyone, especially affairs of the heart.
The Labor party wants so desperately to discredit her because Ms Berejiklian is a formidable opponent. This is a woman who has declared she has made some poor decisions in her personal life, so be it who hasn't?
Ms Berejiklian has shown to be a proven leader offering NSW the best way out of this terrible affliction COVID-19 pandemic.
Stay focused and lead on Gladys Berejiklian; you are doing a marvellous job.

Guide Dogs Graduation
I CONSIDER myself extremely fortunate to have experienced the most amazing day on October 13, the graduation ceremony for the class of 2020, Guide Dogs Tasmania.
Seven incredible dogs are now entering a new and exciting phase in their lives, to be the eyes of seven wonderful people.
As a volunteer for Guide Dogs Tasmania, I was honoured and extremely proud to have had one of the above dogs, Elly, in my care for eight-and-a-half very happy months.
And to see Elly and her client, Wayne, together with it just makes it all worthwhile.
Together they have just bonded so well, and I know Elly has changed Wayne's life for the better.
We are very fortunate in the north of the state in having a very talented and committed trainer in Sean Cromwell and his team of willing volunteers; more are always welcome to join us.

Bureaucracy Reigns
FROM October 26, South Australians will be able to visit Tasmania without quarantine or restriction, yet Tasmanians returning from Adelaide before that date (like us) have to quarantine for 14 days. So, from October 26, South Australians, all of whom were there at the same time we were, can walk the streets freely while Tasmanians remain under house arrest. Can someone please explain the logic? It escapes me.
