Junction Hometown was born from the desire to unite the community and to bring arts, performance and music back to Launceston after the festival had to postpone their 10 year anniversary program until next year.

The event will be held across the weekend of November 27-29 in Princes Square and continues the tradition of an all Tasmanian lineup.
The event will have four ticketed sessions across the weekend and will offer live music, tasty local food and wine, children's programming, and beloved Tasmanian bands.
Executive producer Frith Mabin said "we'll be laying out our picnic rugs and enjoying a socially distanced event in our beloved hometown of Launceston".
The City of Launceston mayor Albert van Zetten said the council was proud to support Junction.
"The festival plays a significant role as a key cultural and creative event, with deep community roots," he said.
"It epitomises the true cultural heartbeat of Northern Tasmania and beyond, drawing in thousands of people from across the state."
Tickets and the full lineup information will be available Friday, October 16. Tickets will be limited due to COVID-19 restrictions.
All sales will support the artists and creators.
