This comes after the West Tamar Council approved a tender last week for $154,000 from track developer Dirt Art to undertake the project.
West Tamar mayor Christina Holmdahl said the pump track was a result of consultation with younger Legana residents, facilitated by the Youth Advisory Council.

She said it would be a great asset to the up-and-coming area.
"Most importantly, the track is something that young people in the area wanted," Cr Holmdahl said.
"Young people need a safe place to gather in Legana and do something they enjoy."
The pump track will be built at the Legana Recreation Space and will be 500 square metres in size.
The original tender from Dirt Art of $144,500 was increased by about $10,000 after additional drainage works were assessed by the contractor.
Cr Holmdahl said the pump track would not only attract Legana residents, but many avid BMX enthusiasts from across the Tamar area would come and use the resource.
