Christopher James Bennett, 38, did not appear but was represented by counsel Lucy Flanagan.
He faces an indictable charge, to be heard in the Supreme Court , of being unlawfully armed in public on July 7 for being armed with a recurve bow in such a manner as to alarm the public by discharging arrows from that bow.
He faces a second count of recklessly discharge a missile to the danger of another person.
Mr Bennett was also charged with injuring property, namely the wall of the Launceston Reception Prison, on July 7, 2020.
Magistrate Ken Stanton remanded him in custody to appear on July 16 at 9.15am.
