Bendigo Bank will open a "bank-in-a-box" inside existing local store, Beaconsfield H Hardware, Nursery and Building Supplies.
Owner Lisa Goss and her staff will add banking to their skills training, and a representative from Bendigo Bank will visit about once a week.
"I'm excited - the town needs face-to-face banking, and now we're able to offer that," Ms Goss said.
Community member Cherie Ritchie said the store was a great choice for the new bank as "I'm always in here anyway."
"They've got everything," she said. "It's great to be able to support them, and to support a bank."
After Bank of Heritage Isle announced it would close in Beaconsfield a working group was formed to come up with a solution, chaired by Rosevears candidate Janie Finlay.

Ms Finlay said it was a "massive day" for the community.
"I couldn't be more proud," she said. "Thank you so much to everyone who has worked behind the scenes.
"We pulled it off - at 11pm last night we were still working on this. You've all done incredible work.
"There are a whole range of people who use Beaconsfield as their community centre, and people who have, for their entire lifetime, had face-to-face, personalised service."
Bendigo Bank regional manager Martyn Neville said the model of adding a mini-bank to an existing business was working well at Latrobe, Smithton and Flinders Island.
There are 100 examples of the model across Australia.
"It's got to follow all of the normal bank rules and regulations, but they'll take all the transactions for us, and we'll come down and provide the technical advice if [customers] want to talk about certain products," he said.
"It's a lot cheaper than trying to put a new bank in a town, and a lot quicker."
The Bendigo Bank Beaconsfield agency has a planned spring opening.
