The Optus' Digital Thumbprint team educates Australian students on responsible online use and are offering a free parent seminar in Launceston.
Over 1000 students from Scotch Oakburn College and Riverside Highschool will be taking part in the school program.
The parent's seminar will provide resources and cover a range of topics including password security, gaming, social media and cyberbullying.
Optus' Tasmania's general manager Peter West said it would be a great refresher for parents.

He said the seminar would help start the simple conversation around some of the challenging topics related to the online world.
"It's important parents are just as educated as their kids, because as a Dad I know we can sometimes lose track of what is online," he said.
"They will talk about Tik Tok for example and I had no idea what that was."
It's at the Tramsheds Function Centre at 4 Invermay Road on Thursday, from 6pm to 7.30pm.
Since 2013 the program has educated over 300,000 primary and secondary students across Australia on how to be safer and smarter online.
It's completely free for schools and does not promote any Optus products or services.
