The Launceston Cup is saddling up to once again draw a crowd at Racecourse Crescent, however the coronavirus has prevented some would-be punters from coming.
Tasmania Turf Club chief executive Peter Scott said even from Launceston the impact of coronavirus has been felt, with a group from China cancelling due to the coronavirus.
"We lost a table of ten because of the coronavirus, that's the impact that it has right down here," he said.
"I think our reach is that far, there's the business connections we have with China and it was one of our good supporters that had to pull out because of it [the coronavirus]."
