Charged with using a carriage service to cause child porn material to be transmitted, Humzah Jamal El-Rez appeared in Launceston Magistrates Court for the first time on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old has also been charged with allegedly using a carriage service to disseminate child porn material.
Mr El-Rez did not enter any pleas and his legal representative James Oxley asked for the case to be adjourned.
Magistrate Ken Stanton continued Mr El-Rez's bail and ordered him to appear in court again on March 10 at 9.45am.
