A Chudleigh man who punched and choked his pregnant wife and was found to have caused the death of his baby daughter will be sentenced over the woman's assault next week.

Last month Guarav Endlay, 41, was found guilty of assaulting and emotionally abusing his second wife Parul Bhatt.
After Ms Bhatt initially said Endlay choked and punched her in September 2019, she changed her story in court and insisted no assault took place.
The court heard Ms Bhatt said her story changed because she was angry and had pregnancy-related illness when she first reported the assault to police.
Endlay pleaded not guilty to assault and emotional abuse charges, but in court it was revealed he contacted his father in India while on remand and asked that his wife be told to deny the assault.
Ms Bhatt, who was in an arranged marriage with Endlay and in Australia on a visa with him as her sponsor, admitted she spoke with her father-in-law, but she denied those conversations were the reason she changed her story
Ms Bhatt also denied her story changed because of concerns about how a conviction against Endlay would affect her visa status.
Endlay appeared in Launceston Magistrates Court on Tuesday when final pre-sentencing remarks were delivered.
Magistrate Simon Brown said evidence Ms Bhatt gave was "inconsistent", "rehearsed" and "unconvincing".
"I formed an unfavourable view about her [Ms Bhatt] credibility and reliability...she was determined to mislead me," he said.
Defence lawyer Jessica Stewart told the court Ms Bhatt had no lasting injuries and required no medical treatment.
She went on to ask the magistrate to backdate any prison sentence to when her client was first remanded in custody on October 3 last year.
Police prosecutor Felicity Radin said Endlay was previously convicted of assaulting his ex-wife and Ms Bhatt intended to stay in Australia and continue her marriage with Endlay.
"She [Ms Bhatt] has nowhere else to go, she has no friends or family in Australia," Ms Radin said.
The court heard Endlay was previously remanded in custody for 18 months after the death of his first child, two-month old Charlotte Lukendlay.
Charges relating to the death were dropped, but a coroner found the baby died because she suffered a severe brain injury which arose after an act done by Endlay caused the baby to stop breathing.
He is due to be sentenced for the assault and abuse against Ms Bhatt on February 10.
