Academics and music tutor Miss B's Student Services will host a fundraiser concert to support firefighting volunteers on January 31.
Miss B's owner Cathy Byers said the idea for the fundraiser came from the students whose families and friends were involved in firefighting efforts both in Tasmania and on the mainland.
"We have some who have families who were involved in the fires up in Cobargo and family members that were affected," she said.
"We also have students whose family members here went over to assist in Tasmania.
"It came about through those children who were looking to do something to help them and do their share.
"That's what we're hoping to achieve at Miss B's along with assisting with academics and confidence... creating those empathetic human beings that can contribute to society."
IN OTHER NEWS:
It's a concert with music from David Lee and the children from Miss B's, Fiddle Stix and the St Andrews Caledonian Pipe Band.
Entertainment will also be provided in the form of mini jeeps and Taz Zorb. Local food vans will also be on site.
Donations will be accepted at the door, with funds raised going towards a support fund for Tasmanian Fire Service volunteers and their families.
"It's just a really nice family evening with a concert happening at the same time," Ms Byers said.
"Our motto throughout the entire thing has been this is a really simple and minimal effort way of the general public coming along and throwing money in a bucket on a pleasant Friday night.
"[It's about] Helping the homegrown heroes here in Tasmania and their families wherever they've gone whether it's Fingal, Flinders Island or the mainland
