From 10am to 4pm tyers from around Tasmania and interstate will demonstrate the art of fly tying.
Two of the event's tyers are members of Australia's first Female Fly Fishing Team, Deloraine's Karen Brooks and Hobart's Anna Bellette, who will compete at the 2020 Commonwealth Fly Fishing Championship in New Zealand.
Anna Bellette said the tie-in was relaunched by Graham Blight four years ago and the one day event at the Great Lake Community Centre had been very well received.
"(It) is usually held in October but this year we changed the date to coincide with the 39th FIPS Mouche World Fly Fishing Championships," she said.

"The idea of the tie-in is for the public to come and browse, talk to the tyers while they are tying.
"Most tie a variety of fly patterns which are used in fresh water and salt water."
At the hall tonight, at 7pm, Inland Fisheries will present Talk Trout Tasmania on topics about access for all, what's the catch, the fall and rise of Lake Sorell and Bradys chain of lakes.
In addition to the tying demonstration on Saturday there will be fishing displays, a silent auction, food and drinks, arts and crafts and the director of operations for the 2019 FIPS event Malcolm Crosse will be there to answer any queries.
Entry into the event is a gold coin donation.
