Endlay, 46, appeared at a hearing in the Launceston Magistrates Court on Wednesday where it was confirmed he would contest the charges in court next month.
He was arrested and charged on October 3 in relation to alleged attacks on a woman in a house in Reedy Marsh in February, March and September.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Endlay allegedly slapped the woman and twisted her arms in one incident, and grabbed her by the hair, dragged her through the house and squeezed her throat in another incident.
He was also accused of sitting on the woman's stomach.
Endlay, who appeared by video link from the Hobart Reception Centre prison, urged the court to release him from custody because his "wife is pregnant".
"I need to support her with everything," he said.
"I really believe that... my house will get confiscated."
Endlay will next appear in court on November 7, and his hearing date to contest the assault charges is set for November 25.
