The cause of a fire that destroyed a home in Newnham on Tuesday afternoon, causing $300,000 worth of damage, remains undetermined.

Tasmania Fire Service crews from Rocherlea and Launceston were called to the Thompsons Lane house about 3.30pm.
Emily Higginson, who lives on nearby Alanvale Road, was one of four residents who rushed to the scene after noticing smoke.
She said her first concern was making sure no one was in the house.
"The black smoke it filled the sky - I knew it was a house on fire," she said.
"We all rushed around the back and started banging on the windows and doors.
"I just screamed 'is anyone in there'.
"I have an eight-week-old and kids at home. That's why I wanted to help. The idea that a kid could be trapped."
Fire investigators spent the afternoon at the scene.
A TFS spokeswoman said the cause of the fire remained undetermined, with the cost of damages around $300,000.
It is understood no-one was home when the fire occurred.
It was the second house lost to fire in the state's North on Tuesday, following an earlier blaze at Beaconsfield.
The TFS also responded to a house fire at Margate in the state's South.
