The pieces sell for anywhere from $50 to $5000, with works from Glover Prize finalists and nationally exhibited artists, to first-year students and up-and-coming creatives.
"There's literally something for everyone," she said.
"It's great to have this kind of community support, it really shows that people appreciate what we're doing here."
The auction, from 7.30pm on Friday at the Sawtooth ARI gallery on Cimitiere Street, will be followed by DJs, with food, wine, and beer available.
They will keep accepting works until 5pm on Friday, but they expect to have between 80 and 100 artworks donated to be sold.
