A two-vote performance from North Launceston captain Brad Cox-Goodyer has kept the TSL player of the year race alive as leader Fletcher Seymour watched from the sidelines.

With cross-town rival Launceston cursed with the round 20 bye, the Northern Bombers' leader shone bright in the first TSL game at Invermay Park in two years as his side cruised to a 15.18 (108) to 10.5 (65) win over North Hobart, claiming the minor premiership in the process.
Ruckman Alex Lee proved to be the only player holding Cox-Goodyer back from drawing even with Seymour as North's trusted tall had it on a string in the middle and drifted forward for two strong mark-and-goal combinations.

Cox-Goodyer kicked one goal in his side's win but was at his relentless best around the ground, collecting disposals and offering best use of the football on the more-narrow Invermay Park surface.
Team-mate Josh Ponting, who sits in fourth on the leaderboard with 13 votes for the season, is in danger of missing next week's clash with Glenorchy following an incident on Saturday.
The TSL match review panel deemed that Ponting pushed North Hobart's Sam Caswell into the path of an umpire and has been given until Tuesday morning to either challenge a one-match ban or reduce it to a reprimand with an early plea.
The nearest challenger, Lauderdale's Haydn Smith, remains too far back to prevent one of the Launceston rivals claiming the award.
Former GWS Giant and Western Bulldog Sam Darley continued his run of form for the Demons, picking up another vote to grace the top five for the first time this season.
Another former AFL-listed player in Glenorchy's Zac Webster picked up three votes as the Magpies caused an upset 14.8 (92) to 6.8 (44) win over Lauderdale.
Callen Daly picked up two votes, kicking a goal at his electric best as Aiden Grace slotted four before a leg injury ended his day.
As Clarence won the inaugural Gadomski-Riewoldt Trophy in memory of Alex Gadomski and Maddie Riewoldt, Kangaroos ruckman Ryan Bailey ruled the roost.
Both Bailey and Tigers midfielder Ryan Matthews were awarded the Alex Gadomski Medals of Courage for the best showings on either team as Clarence's Matt Ling claimed the singular vote.
