Reutersward, who died on Friday after a long battle with cancer, played a key role in the rally's success from its first running in 1992 through to its 28th earlier this year.
One of only six officials inducted into the Targa Tasmania Hall of Fame, Reutersward worked as a warehouse supervisor for Octagon and Targa Australia and headed up many stage teams, recruiting and training thousands of people.

When Targa rolled out its ambitious expansion plans in 2008, he helped ensure the successful delivery of Targa Wrest Point, Targa High Country and Classic Targa Adelaide.
Reutersward, who met his wife and long-time chief CRO Pam von Stieglitz at Targa in 1999, also helped make the Longford Revival Festival and Mark Webber Challenge successes.
A post on Targa's Facebook page said: "He was tireless, devoted, loyal and never lacked a great idea or three! In recent years, as his health deteriorated, he still found the strength and motivation to be by Pam's side every day of every Targa event and support her in delivering the event's all-important CRO's role.
"Pontus Reutersward lived for three things: Pam, his loving family and Targa! Everyone at Targa who ever worked with Pontus in any way will sadly miss him in the future and our lives will forever be full of the amazing memories he gave us all."
A funeral will be held on Wednesday at 2.30pm at Franklin Grove Centre, Youngtown.
