In a huge improvement on the previous weekend, Dan Roden's team flew out of the blocks, establishing a 21-8 lead at the first break and extending it to 37-17 at half-time as some precision passing from Deanna Wadley, Dana Lester and Dennis enabled goal shooter Mel Philpott to do her thing.

The win saw Cavs finish level on 30 points with neighbours and reigning premiers Northern Hawks - who had a last-round bye - and Arrows, whose comfortable 70-28 defeat of Karana saw them finish top.

The semi-finals, involving that top three and Kingston (who lost their final roster match 40-36 to Cripps) will be held in Hobart on Saturday.
