The application excludes existing mining leases, National Parks and reserved or other lands exempted from the Mineral Resources Development Act 1995.
Mineral Resources Tasmania mines director "intends to recommend to the Minister for Resources [Guy Barnett] that they grant" the licence.
IN OTHER NEWS:
If granted, explorers must have permission from Mineral Resources Tasmania before undertaking exploration activity and 14 days notice must be given to access private land.
Anyone holding a mineral tenement, or claiming an estate or interest within the application area can lodge a formal objection with the Registrar of Mines before August 3, 2019.
