Basketball Tasmania operations manager David Munns has continued his penchant for international travel, flying out for Saudi Arabia on Thursday.
Accredited by FIBA as one of the world's top 30 basketball coach educators, Munns delivered a new introductory coaching course in Vietnam in November, and presented it to FIBA's head office in Switzerland two months later.
The course has since been implemented in Thailand and Bhutan.
His latest trip will see him deliver a five-day coaching course while mentoring another FIBA coach from Jordan.
"I have always maintained being a Tasmanian is never an excuse to not allow you to achieve to a national or International level," the former Basketball Australia male coach of the year said.
"Look at the great work our Basketball Tasmania staff have done in recent times to players Zoe Crawford, Sejr Deans, Tre and Taz Armstrong, Lauren Wise, Reyne Smith, Josh Cleary, Jerry Lowe selected to international teams.
"You just need to work hard, know your stuff, and you can make it."
