Community organisations in the Dorset region will be able to invest in new projects, after grants were allocated at the April 15 Dorset Council meeting.
The following amounts were given out: $7010 to the North Eastern Basketball Union for the supply and installation of new electronic scoreboard system; $1785.96 to the Lions Club Scottsdale for dog agility equipment; $1455.79 to Dorset Tasmania History Group for an images preservation project ; $1931.82 to Friends of St. Pauls Springfield Association Inc. for a lawn mower purchase; $2000 to Bridport Girl Guides for a heat pump; $580.91 to Legerwood Catering Group for tables and chairs; $1045.45 to Bridport Innovations Inc. for a laptop computer; $1530 to the North Eastern Pony Club for cross-country jumps equipment; and $2000 to Lietinna Community Hall and Recreation Committee for a gas cooker and kitchen upgrade.
The successful projects were assessed by a Community Grants Selection Panel.
