Northern Tourism Tasmania chief executive Chris Griffin advocated for the cycle path between Lilydale and Scottsdale, and a train line between Turner's Marsh and Lilydale, with a view of eventually connecting to Inveresk in Launceston.
Association of Tourist & Heritage Rail Australia Tasmania's Chris Martin spoke in favour of the rail potential between Lilydale and Wyena trip, including Denison Gorge, Lilydale Falls, and 'the tunnel'.
The inquiry will decide on a tourism project, either a cycle path, heritage rail, or both, between Launceston and Scottsdale.
