The National Broadband Network is proposing to expand its existing radio network base station at Carrick.
The station, at 160 Oaks Road, aims to give customers high quality wireless broadband services to surrounding areas.
The upgrades were announced last week.
"The proposed works on site will involve the upgrade of existing technology upon the facility including, and not limited to, the replacement and installation of new antennas, radio communication dishes and associated ancillary equipment to enhance transmitting technology," the public notice said.
Works will also replace equipment shelters and additional shelters and units adjacent to the facility.
