Minister for Education and Training Jeremy Rockliff said the $2.06 million development project will assist in consolidating Launceston's departmental support staff.
"We are focussed on building Tasmania's education future by ensuring schools, staff, students and the community are supported with high-quality learning facilities, while driving economic growth and creating jobs from planning to construction," Mr Rockliff said.
A tender was also advertised for a major refurbishment at the early learning area of Sassafras Primary School.
