The assault - which took place at 4.15pm along a walking track near the Duck Reach Power Station - has prompted community outcry, with more than 100 people attending a "reclaim the Duck" event at the weekend.
The 30-year-old Launceston woman was uninjured in the March 31 attack, during which she was grabbed in a headlock and had a hand placed over her mouth.
Police are still searching for the attacker, described as being of slim build between 174cm and 180cm in height, with a slender face, pointed chin and weighing about 70kg.

The man was wearing a khaki shirt and baggy track pants, with blonde bushy eyebrows, fair complexion and blonde scruffy hair.
An image of a male person of interest was released by police last week. In a statement Monday, police said they had since identified him.
"At this stage we have eliminated him as a suspect in the assault and are therefore again asking for any public assistance in relation to the incident," Detective Inspector Kim Steven said.
Any witnesses who may have observed a man fitting the attacker's description in the area to call police on 131444.
