New Voices created by the Hybrid Initiative will showcase works from Tasmanian and interstate artists, featuring musical performances, dance and drama.
An emerging theatre company, Hybrid Initiative is the work of University of Tasmania students Tegan Burgess and Thomas Wadley.
Ms Burgess said she hoped New Voices would provide artists with the freedom to presents original works in a safe environment.
"We wanted to challenge the traditional conventions of theatre, but also make sure that emerging artists felt like they had a safe place to express themselves," she said.
New Voices will be at Annex Theatre on February 15 and 16 from 7pm. Tickets from tybooking.com or at the door.
